DEPCOM Power Earns EPC Agreement to Build 30 MW Utility Solar Plant in Georgia

SCOTTSDALE, AZ. – June 1, 2015 – DEPCOM Power today announced it has reached an agreement to serve as the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) firm on the Pawpaw Solar Facility with Southern Power, a subsidiary of Southern Company. The electricity and associated renewable energy credits (RECs) generated by the facility will be sold under a 30-year power purchase agreement with Southern Company subsidiary Georgia Power, which will have the option to keep or sell the RECs, for the benefit of its customers or renewable energy programs.  “We are excited to be partnering with Southern Power in executing utility-scale solar in Georgia,” said Jim Lamon, CEO of DEPCOM Power.  “Our mission is to be the nation’s most reliable EPC provider and we are proud to be part of Southern Power’s commitment to enhance its position as a national leader in renewable energy.”

Construction of the project will begin in June and is expected to be completed by the end of 2015.
