DEPCOM Power has been selected as the EPC contractor for Tucson Electric Power’s (TEP) 200 MW Roadrunner Reserve II battery energy storage system in southeast Tucson. This state-of-the-art system will store 800 MWh of energy, providing reliable power to approximately 42,000 homes during peak demand. Scheduled to begin operation in early 2026, Roadrunner Reserve II, along with the original Roadrunner Reserve system—also built by DEPCOM—will become the largest energy storage resources in TEP’s portfolio and among the largest in Arizona.
